A new pedestrian bridge in Levittown is now open.
Middletown Township officials announced late last week that the pedestrian bridge connecting the neighborhoods of Snowball Gate and Forsythia Gate in Levittown opened to the public and is completed. They invited residents to take a walk across the bridge that spans the Mill Creek.

The bridge was installed in summer, but work to finish the project, including a paved path, had to be finished.
The last bridge over the creek was closed in 2020 after it was deemed to be in “structural failure.” It has been in place for decades.
Middletown Township spent $48,039 with Contech Engineered Solutions for the new bridge.

Middletown Township Building and Zoning Director Pat Ennis said last year that the new bridge is wider than the previous span and meets Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accessibility regulations.
