With in-person voting just days away, the Bucks County Board of Elections is seeking some additional poll workers.

Poll workers staff the county’s more than 300 voting locations that are in every part of the county on election day, Tuesday, November 2.

The greatest need for poll workers is in Bristol Township, Falls Township, Middletown Township, Northampton Township, and Lower Southampton Township, according to county spokesperson James O’Malley.

The county has 1,700 people prepared to work, but they would like to have about 2,000.

Commissioner Bob Harvie, who chairs the Bucks County Board of Elections, said working an election is vital to the process and really is the frontline of our democratic process.

Poll workers have to be registered voters in Bucks County and be at least 17 years old.

Those who work the polls are paid $97.50 for a half day and $195 for a full day.
