The Falls Township Board of Supervisors have a new member.
Following longtime Supervisor Jeff Rocco’s resignation last month, the government body appointed township resident Erin Mullen to the seat.
Mullen, who has been employed as a paralegal for the last 20 years, was sworn in by District Judge Jan Vislosky, Monday evening.
She will fill out Rocco’s term that expires at the end of 2023.
Mullen grew up in Philadelphia and has lived in Falls Township since 2008.
“I thought I’d be a city girl for life,” she said. “But I was smitten by the local charm of things like Fallsington Day, Falls Township Community Park, and a simple fondness for my neighbors.”
Mullen thanked the supervisors and her husband Erik Kepcsynski for their support.
She said her appreciation of Falls Township has only grown stronger as her 10-year-old daughter and 12-year-old son have grown up in the community and partaken in youth sports and the schools.
“I’ll give my very best effort to fulfill the duties as if you picked me,” Mullen said while she was sworn in.
“If I have a goal here, it is to uphold the community that has gifted me so much while increasing its availability to others,” she said.
Supervisors Chairman Jeff Dence said he’s sure Mullen will do a good job.
Bucks County Commissioner Bob Harvie, who formerly lead the supervisors and attended the meeting, said Mullen will be a “great choice.”
Rocco told LevittownNow.com his resignation was due to an increasing workload.
