Ideal Transportation, which is based in Upper Southampton Township, is looking to construct a truck yard, repair area, and office on Clyde Waite Drive.

Attorney Ed Murphy, who represented the business, came before Bristol Township Council last month and said Ideal Transportation aims to consolidate existing operations in Bristol Township, Upper Southampton Township, and Morrisville Borough onto the Clyde Waite Drive site.
The Clyde Waite Drive site is two parcels that will be combined. It totals just under four acres and would include 50 truck parking stalls, 16 employee parking spaces, and a 6,500-square-foot building for offices and the repair area.
The site is the last undeveloped space in the Clyde Waite Drive industrial park, which sits between Lakeland Avenue and the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

The council was receptive of the company moving to the site, and Murphy said full development plans will be submitted to the township soon.
The goal is for construction to break ground by early next year, Murphy said.

“We look forward to expanding and keep expanding,” the attorney for the company said.
Murphy explained that Ideal Transportation has its eyes on a neighboring property that has become rundown.
