An information technology worker has been arrested for having child pornography, including some that depicts rape, according to police.
Matthew R. Johnson, 36, of Falls Township’s Levittown section, was preliminarily arraigned on a warrant Tuesday morning on charges of dissemination of photo/film of child sex acts, child pornography, and criminal use of a communication facility. A joint investigation by Bensalem Township police and the Bucks County Detectives, which included assistance from Lower Makefield Township police, uncovered Johnson had downloaded child porn. The discovery first happened in April, according to an affidavit of probable cause.
An IP address used was linked to Johnson, police said.
Johnson, who works in information technology for an area hospital, had child porn files on his computer and phone. The files showed sex acts and rape of children, including that of an elementary school-aged girl, police said.
