Bristol Twp. Officially Opens New Municipal Park

Warm late-summer weather made for a great Saturday at Bristol Township Municipal Park.

The park, which sits next to the Municipal Complex on Bath Road, opened last year, but COVID-19 delayed an official ribbon cutting until Saturday. The ribbon cutting coincided with township’s popular Fall Festival.

The park that is bordered by Bristol-Oxford Valley and Bath roads features a large spray park, an accessible playground, a synthetic turf field, and a new amphitheater.

It cost Bristol Township about $7 million to construct the park, which included several grants to fund construction.

The park has already played host to concerts, outdoor movies, sporting events, and the splash park has been extremely popular.

Bristol Township Parks and Recreation Director Jessica Fox said she is confident that the new park will bring a large portion of people from the community to play and spend time with their families at the site.
