To mark 20 years since the September 11, 2001 attacks, the public is invited to a number of local remembrance events in the area.
The ceremonies will begin Saturday morning at the Garden of Reflection on Woodside Road in Lower Makefield Township at 8:30 a.m. The ceremony will follow the chronological timeline of September 11th attacks. The victims will be honored and religious leaders will be present.

At 7 p.m., the Garden of Reflection will host a candlelight vigil featuring speakers and music to remember the lives lost, including the 18 from Bucks County, in the attacks. The serene event is among the most attended in the area and ends with the lighted twin fountains that are the center piece of the memorial turning on.
Due to recent weather, off-site parking for the Garden of Reflection ceremony will be at Afton Elementary School at 1673 Quarry Road. Buses will transport attendees from the school to the memorial from 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Masks are required on buses.
In Tullytown Borough, the community will host its annual remembrance ceremony at the park behind Borough Hall on Main Street starting at 6:45 p.m. Music will be performed along with speeches and a last call ceremony.

While there wonโt be a ceremony, the Edgely Fire Company on Edgely Road in Bristol Township offers a quiet place of a reflection. The fire companyโs September 11th memorial on the side of the station.
The Garden of Reflection will host a 5K run this Sunday to support the memorial.
