Within a short time of the heavy rain starting, flash flooding started in the usual spots, like Cedar Avenue in Croydon and along Green Lane on the Bristol Township and Bristol Borough border.
By evening and as more rain fell, flash flooding spread and emergency responders began to get calls to help motorists whose vehicles were stuck in the water. Along Farragut Avenue in Bristol Borough, at least two vehicles were spotted to be abandoned in rising water as kids splashed around in several inches of it a short distance away. The weather led to high water in the area of Route 13 and Veterans Highway (Route 413) in Bristol Township as the evening progressed.

Local fire crews were rushing around the Bristol area responding to numerous alarms and to aid motorists. Fire company boats were also called to the township.
