PennDOT crews will be working to resurface a local state road this week.
PennDOT warned motorists that there will be intermittent lane closures with flaggers directing traffic on Newportville Road/Main Street between New Falls Road in Bristol Township and Trenton Road in Hulmeville Borough Monday through Friday, May 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The closures will be for milling and repaving work.

Drivers are advised to allot extra time when traveling through the areas because slowdowns are likely to occur.
The repaving work is weather dependent.
PennDOT officials said the Newportville Road/Main Street repaving is part of a regional effort to fix and resurface more than 200 miles of state roadway in the five-county Philadelphia region.
