Wawa wants to construct a 5,500-square-foot convenience store and gas station at the corner of Arleans Avenue and Lincoln Highway. The company recently added a drive-thru window and two outdoor ordering kiosks to their plans, which still needs development approval from the supervisors.
The new location would have 44 parking spaces, two stacking lanes for the drive-thru window connected to the store, and pedestrian improvements for the area, said Justin Geonnotti, of Dynamic Engineering, a firm working with Wawa on the plans.
Geonnotti said, in response to a question by Supervisor Jeff Rocco, that Wawa is working with PennDOT to upgrade push buttons for street crossing signals.

Supervisor John Palmer noted he was “glad” Wawa added a second air pumping station.
“There’s always a backup, which makes for congestion around the fueling station,” he said.

Responding to a question from the public, Mike Redel, a real estate project engineer for Wawa, said the gas pumping station will have double-walled tanks, double-walled piping, and sensors to detect any problems in the tanks and piping. He added there will be constant monitoring at the store and at Wawa’s headquarters.
“We definitely do not want to impact the environment around us. I’m not concerned that’s going to happen here,” he said.
If Wawa’s plan full land development plans are approved, the company would tear down the building that houses Arosso, A Touch of Sicily Italian-style restaurant, which LevittownNow.com confirmed will move to another spot in the shopping center, and construct their store and gas station.
