Middletown Township is looking to replace more neighborhood signs in 2021.
The township is seeking bids for about 50 neighborhood signs and 14 signs for municipal parks. The signs will look the same as those installed in 2019, but they will have more reflectivity for easier viewing.

Assistant Township Manager Nick Valla said $125,000 is budgeted for the signs and the township’s public works crews will do installation to save money.
The specifications from the township to bidders layout the requirements for the signs, including that they look nearly identical to the past ones. The same vendor may even bid, Valla said.
The additional signs project was originally slated for last year, but that was delayed.

The first phase of signs for neighborhoods, gateways, and township buildings in 2019 cost about $97,000.
The signs have been designed by resident Terry McCloskey.

Older neighborhood signs in the township had various styles and designs.
Middletown was spurred to start updating their signs after Bristol Township completed a similar project in 2018.
