A home was severely damaged by a blaze Thursday evening.
The home in the 1100 block of Thistle Street in Bristol Township began to fill with smoke while the residents were home. The flames were found and smoke was coming from a bedroom, Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito said.

Fire crews from a number of companies were dispatched at 7 p.m.
Flames were reported to have been coming from the house when firefighters arrived.
The home was badly damaged and left uninhabitable, the fire marshal said.

No injuries were reported.
Dippolito said the the fire was determined to have started with wiring to a switch in the bedroom.

The home was insured.
The fire was the township’s second of the day. The first was an arson in the Croydon section of the township.
