A man has been charged with allegedly attempting to break into an apartment and threatening a woman over the weekend.
Brandon Valerio-Valdez, 21, of Langhorne Borough, was charged with attempted burglary, terroristic threats, criminal mischief, and possession of an instrument of crime.

Pennsylvania State Police were called to an apartment in the 100 block of South Bellevue Avenue in Langhorne Borough around 3:40 p.m. Sunday for a man attempting to make entry into an apartment. A trooper arrived within minutes and found Valerio-Valdez in the hallway, according to court papers.
Valerio-Valdez was reported to have told a trooper that he attempted to break into the apartment.
State police said there were holes in the apartment door and wood chips scattered about.

The apartment resident relayed that she heard a knocking and then a bang. She asked who was there about 15 times with no answer, state police said.
The resident explained that she opened the door and Valerio-Valdez was attempting to make entry. At one point, she heard him threaten her and said he would “stab” her if she didn’t open the door, state police said.

A neighbor reported to troopers that he heard a loud noise and the resident yelling for help. He found Valerio-Valdez in the hallway and damage to the door, state police said.
Valerio-Valdez was arraigned Sunday evening by on-call District Judge Gary Gambardella and bail was set at 10 percent of $50,000. Bail was posted on Monday.
