The Pennsylvania Turnpike will be closed in both directions between Bensalem and Bristol Township early Sunday.

The closure is needed so crews can install beams for the New Falls Road bridge that will cross the turnpike in Bristol Township. Work on the new bridge is expected to last through summer.
Below are the detours:
Westbound Detour
Follow I-95 South (5.2 miles) to Exit 35 for State Route 63 West/Woodhaven Road (3.2miles) to Route 1 north towards Morrisville (2.5 miles).ย Re-enter the Pennsylvania Turnpike at the Bensalem Interchange, Exit 351.
Eastbound Detour
Follow Route 1 South (2.4 miles), then stay right onto North Roosevelt Boulevard to exit for State Route 63 East/Woodhaven Road (3.5 miles) to exit for I-95 north towards Trenton.ย Remain on I-95 north towards New York/New Jersey Turnpike to re-enter the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
Turnpike staff and Pennsylvania State police will be in the areas of closure to assist drivers. Digital message signs will have up-to-date information, turnpike officials said.
