Bristol Borough’s police department spread out across the town Tuesday evening to bring some holiday cheer.
Officers teamed up with the DeCaro family, who own Bristol Environmental, to make 25 Christmas dinner baskets for families who need some help this year.

When officers called Bristol Borough-based Agostino Foods Service to purchase turkeys for the 25 baskets, the local business donated the turkeys.
The baskets include turkey, all the fixings, desert, and a gift certificate for Selecto Market.
Sgt. Pete Faight led organizing for the event that was funded by the DeCaro Family Giving Fund. Officers and police Chief Steve Henry assisted in assembling and delivering the baskets.

“With the pandemic making traditional community outreach events scarce, the department wanted to do something to impact the community in a positive way. The Bristol Borough police are grateful to the DeCaro Family for supporting this project,” Henry said.
The DeCaros previously teamed up with police to support a night of enjoy for local kids and police at the 2019 St. Ann’s Carnival and Italian Festival.
