Delaware Democrat Joe Biden, who spent part of his youth in Scranton, has been projected to be the winner of Pennsylvania, according to a late Saturday morning Associated Press projection. (Read how the AP calls races)

Biden led Trump in the state at 3,344,182 to 3,310,423 votes as of noon Saturday.
The projected win gives Biden enough states to claim victory in the electoral college.
In Bucks County, Biden and his running mate Sen. Kamala Harris had 198,251 votes to Trump and Vice President Mike Pence’s 182,742 votes.

Bucks County still has to count provisional ballots and military and overseas ballots, but those numbers would not be enough to swing the race.
Harris will be the first woman vice president and first woman of color to hold that office.

The president and his campaign have said Trump won Pennsylvania and have alleged fraud. There has been no evidence of widespread fraud in Pennsylvania’s vote and the Trump campaign has been unable to provide evidence.
Trump’s campaign said in a statement that Biden’s win was a “false projection.” They affirmed that the president would win reelection.
“I don’t have evidence of any misdoing,” Pennsylvania GOP Majority Leader State Sen. Jake Corman said during a Friday interview of Fox News Channel.

In 2016, Trump won Pennsylvania but lost Bucks County.
The Biden and Trump campaigns focused significant resources on the Keystone state. The campaigns figured that it would be one of the key deciding states, which turned out to be accurate.

Bucks County is known for being a moderate bellwether that can foretell national election results.
The Trump campaign had staff within Bucks County and also was boosted by grassroots support. The president made a stop in Upper Makefield days before election day. Ivanka Trump, Eric Trump, and Lara Trump have all made stops in Bucks County in recent weeks.

The Biden campaign also had staff that worked within the county. Jill Biden made a stop in Falls Township and brought her husband to Bristol Township a little more than a week before election day.
Biden, whose campaign out fundraised Trump, flooded the airwaves and streaming platforms in the state with ads for the former vice president.
