Drug Take-Back Day This Saturday

Residents will be able to safely turn in unused, unneeded, or expired prescription medications this Saturday.

County and local law enforcement will team with upย several groups to take part in theย National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day fromย 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at numerous locations in the county.

Due to the pandemic, the drop-off sites will offer easier-than-ever โ€“ no questions asked โ€“ drive up and drop off options.

“At this yearโ€™s event, participants are asked to stay in their vehicle and maintain a safe distance between their vehicle and other vehicles in line. Before dropping off the unneeded medicine, remember to remove any personal information from bottles,” according to a statement from the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office.

Since Bucks County took part in the National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day 2010, more than 146,613 pounds pounds of medication have been collected in the county, a record for the state.

If you cannot make the Saturday event, there are several dozen drop-off locations in the county that areย permanent.
