Suspect From November 2019 Shooting Arrested In NJ

A man wanted in connection with a November 2019 shooting in Bristol Borough has been arrested.

Jason Ford, 36, of Trenton, was arrested Tuesday evening in Lawrence Township, New Jersey after police received word he was staying at a hotel.

Ford attempted to run from New Jersey law enforcement and he was caught and arrested, Bristol Borough police said.

An arrest warrant on charges of  attempted homicide, robbery, aggravated assault, simple assault, possession of a weapon, and related offenses was filed by Bristol Borough investigators in April.

Ford has been accused of a shooting on Thanksgiving Eve 2019. Police said they were dispatched to the 900 block of Spring Street around 8 p.m. on November 27. Upon arrival, they found a 37-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his leg.

The man who was struck with a bullet was rushed to a Philadelphia hospital and survived the shooting.

Police said Ford is facing additional charges in New Jersey and has been lodged in the Mercer County, New Jersey jail until an extradition hearing.
