Woman Recovering After Being Rescued From Burning Home

A woman hurt in a Friday morning blaze is on the road to recovery, according to Bristol Township’s fire marshal.

The 40-year-old woman pulled by firefighters from a burning home in the 90 block of Oaktree Drive in Bristol Township’s Levittown section around 6:15 a.m. last Friday. She was taken to Temple University Hospital’s burn unit in Philadelphia.

Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito said Monday that the 40-year-old woman was “alive and well” at Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. She is expected to discharged in the coming days.

Several fire companies were dispatched to the scene and put down the flames quickly.

The fire started in a rear bedroom at the home and continued to be under investigation as of Monday.

Dippolito said he is aiming to talk with the woman once she is released from the hospital.
