A basement fire damaged a home in Middletown Township’s Langhorne section.
Fire crews were dispatched around 2:13 a.m. Thursday to the 60 block of Oakwynne Terrace for a working blaze. Police arrived to find flames and that the residents were safely out of the home.

Firefighters went to work and extinguished the bulk of the fire within 10 minutes of arriving, Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company Chief Frank Farry said.
Jim McGuire, the township fire marshal, said the blaze started in the area of a set of shelves in the basement. The area of a dehumidifier is being looked at as the point of origin.
The home suffered moderate damage, the fire marshal said.
