Workers at Lower Bucks Hospital came out to a surprise last Saturday morning.

Neighbors and children of health care workers hung posters from the railings at the Bristol Township hospital with words of encouragement and upbeat messages.

โ€œWe are incredibly humbled and honored by the support of our community,โ€ said Michelle Aliprantis, the hospital’s regional director of business development, marketing, and communications. โ€œThis is a very difficult time for our frontline staff, andย the signs made their day a little brighter with their generosity.โ€

Nurses finishing their shifts in the hospital’s emergency department were greeted by the show of support during the COVID-19 outbreak.

โ€œItโ€™s greatly appreciated and we cannot thank our community enough,โ€ said Rebecca Deuchar, Lower Bucks Hospital’s emergency room director. โ€œOur nurses and staff are coming in during difficult times, because they care for our community, theyโ€™re doing whatโ€™s right to extend our mission, and caring for the people around themโ€. โ€œThe show of support, back to the staff, is immeasurable, and it goes to show the heart of what this community is all about.โ€

The signs follow other shows of support, including signs and meals, for nurses at St. Mary Medical Center and Jefferson Bucks Hospital.

Recently, a Croydon family put up a display to give inspiration as essential workers pass their home.

โ€œNone of us know how the next few weeks or months will look, but the signs of inspiration goes a long way,โ€ said Aliprantis.
