Work was underway Wednesday evening to erect a mobile COVID-19 testing site at St. Mary Medical Center in Middletown.
Hospital staff and municipal emergency management teams were visible from neighboring Core Creek Park setting up the large tents, electrical supply, and signs with directions for those who arrive for testing.

“At this time, only those St. Mary patients who have been scheduled an appointment and have a prescription may receive a screening through the St. Mary mobile screening site,” said Ann D’Antonio, the vice president of marketing and communications for hospital operator Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic.

Hospital medical staff and doctors have provide a prescription to patients before testing can take place, D’Antonio said.
Middletown Township Manager Stephanie Teoli Kuhls said it is her understanding that testing at the site will begin on Thursday.

The testing site will not be run by the township or county. However, results through private COVID-19 testing have been reported to the county and state.
