Third Victim Of Fiery Crash Dies

A third person has died after last Friday evening’s fiery crash.

Fred Pileggi, 82, of of Bristol Township’s Croydon section, passed away Wednesday due to injuries sustained in the crash that happened in the area of Woolston Drive and West Trenton Avenue outside the Commons of Fallsington in Falls Township’s Morrisville section, police said.

Passenger Rita Pileggi, 82, of Bristol Township’s Croydon section, died at the scene after she was trapped in the vehicle.

Early Sunday morning, Patricia Moldovan, 82, of Bristol, died after suffering burns over 80 percent of her body.

Fred Pileggi was the driver in a Honda minivan that was traveling southbound on Lincoln Highway toward Woolston Drive when it struck the center median and a traffic sign near the intersection. The minivan caught ablaze and continued traveling on Woolston Drive while leaving a trail of fuel before coming to rest outside of the Commons of Fallsington and becoming full engulfed in flames.

Fred Pileggi and Moldovan were taken to hospitals following the crash.

Angela Stanton, 80, of Bristol, was in the minivan and escaped injury.
