The Middletown Board of Supervisors voted last week to upgrade several pieces of township equipment.
The township will spend $23,560.74 to replace four in-car mobile data terminals for police department vehicles. Township Manager Stephanie Teoli Kuhls said Middletown plans to replace up to five mobile data terminals in police vehicles every year going forward.

Middletown will pay $8,670.42 to purchase the Barracuda Security Gateway to protect the township’s computer network for the next three years. The cloud-based system will replace one that is seven years old, Teoli Kuhls said, adding the purchase came in under budget.
The Middletown Department of Fire and Emergency Management will receive a $95,910.35 2020 Ford utility body truck. The new unit will replace an aging vehicle from 2007 that has high mileage, Fire Marshal Jim McGuire said.
The Middletown Public Works Department will be getting two 2020 F-350 4×4 pickup trucks, two snow plows, one lift gate, and two amber light bars for a total of $92,001.
