Work has begun to revamp the roadway next to Bristol Borough’s Waterfront Park and the base of Mill Street.
As part of a $142,588 contract with UGS Concrete, Bristol Borough is expanding the size of Basin Street to add a shoulder, create a new marked crosswalk to the waterfront, and improve the sidewalk next to the new condominiums along the riverfront.

In December, borough officials said a utility pole will have to be relocated as part of the work.
Since last year, the borough has been working to improve the area that joins the central business district to the riverfront park and large free parking lot.
