Two recommendations to improve local roadways were moved forward by the Middletown Board of Supervisors this week.
The supervisors voted to authorize advertisement of an ordnance establishing a no parking zone on Ravine Street at Old Lincoln Highway in Langhorne. The ordinance would block parking within 102 feet of the stop sign.

Scott Sadowsky, assistant to the township manager, said neighbors had complained about parking near the intersection of Ravine Street and Old Lincoln Highway making turning hazardous. The current law makes parking within 30 feet of a stop sign illegal.
The issue came before the Citizens Traffic Commission, township staff, and police.

The supervisors also approved advertising an ordinance that would add a stop sign on Four Leaf Road at the intersection with Forsythia Drive East in Levittown.

The stop sign would only be for drivers on Four Leaf Road. The issue was brought forward by a resident who voiced concerns about visibility, Sadowsky said.
