A pair of sneakers were stolen from a man in Langhorne Borough only minutes before a similar incident in Bristol Borough.
The seller was offloading a pair of sneakers to a man he met in the Pine Watson Shopping Center behind the Wells Fargo Bank on North Pine Street (Route 413) just before noon on Thursday, police Chief John Godzieba said.
No weapon was involved, but the suspect exchanged counterfeit cash for a pair of Adidas Yeezy before fleeing, the chief said.

The suspect has been described by police as a slim, 5-foot-8 black male in his 20s with short hair, some facial hair, glasses, and a black and red hoodie.
Godzieba said the suspect appears to also be involved in the robbery of a man selling sneakers only 35 minutes later in the parking lot of Commerce Circle off of Route 13 in Bristol Borough. In that case, a gun was displayed by one of two suspects.

In both incidents, a gray Chevrolet Impala was the getaway car, Godzieba said.
“Both instances show how inherently dangerous these transactions are and why law enforcement recommend meeting inside a public location,” the chief said.
