Harry S. Truman High School will reopen on Friday after a bomb threat was discovered Thursday afternoon.

The Bristol Township School District said in a statement that police conducted an “exhaustive search” Thursday evening of the building and cleared it.
On Friday, school security and police will be present to ensure the safety of the campus, the district said.
“The police will continue to investigate all information regarding the incident. Should you or your child know anything about this incident, I encourage you to speak with me confidentially. We treat incidents such as this seriously. Legal action will be pursued against any student(s) that are responsible for threats to our school,” the statement continued.

Earlier on Thursday, the district said the threat was found and police were immediately contacted. All afternoon activities were cancelled.
The district said they were grateful for the work on their staff, township police, and staff and students.

All afternoon activities at Harry S. Truman High School were cancelled Thursday due to a bomb threat.
According to a Bristol Township School District statement, staff at the Levittown high school found a bomb threat against the school. Police were called and the building was being searched by law enforcement.

Due to the threat, the school made the decision to cancel the afternoon activities.
“We will continue to work with the Bristol Township PD to ensure the safety of all staff and students. This investigation is ongoing and an update will be provided to families later tonight,” the district said in a statement.

“In the meantime, we thank you for your patience as we work to ensure the safety of all of our students,” the statement went on to say.
