Three New Officers Join Bristol Twp. Force

On Thursday evening, Bristol Township swore in three new police officers.

The new officers – Kyle McKenna, Emilyann Maialetti, and Ashley McCabe – were sworn in before a large crowd during the Bristol Township Council meeting.

McKenna, who grew up in Blackwood, New Jersey, is a graduate of Triton Regional High School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps for four years as a rifleman, rising to the rank of corporal. After his service, McKenna attended Rowan College New Jersey to study criminal justice and fire science before attending and graduating from the Montgomery County Community College Municipal Police Academy in June. McKenna has worked as a security officer for Allied Universal assigned to Lockheed Martin in Moorestown, New Jersey.

Maialetti is a graduate of Central Bucks South High School and was raised in Warrington. After high school, Maialetti attended Bucks County Community College earning an associate degree in criminal justice and then Delaware Valley University in Doylestown to earn her bachelor degree in criminal justice administration. Maialetti has worked as sergeant at the Bucks County Correctional Facility.

McCabe was raised in Pine Bush, New York, and is a graduate of Pine Bush High School. McCabe attended East Stroudsburg University in the Poconos to earn her bachelor degree in criminal justice. She has worked as a correctional officer at the Bucks County Correctional Facility.

McKenna will start work training on patrol, while Maialetti and McCabe will begin the Montgomery County Community College Municipal Police Academy in January with an expected graduation in July.

“I am very pleased to welcome three new police officers to the Bristol Township Police Department, who will be protecting and serving this community for many years to come.” said Lt. Ralph Johnson.

Council President Craig Bowen said he was pleased to bring on “these fine young officers.”

The new officers were picked from 110 candidates who passed the Bucks County Consortium Test for police officers, and they will fill positions left vacant through attrition.
