Thomas J. Mee, 47, of Middletown Township, had felony counts of manufacture, delivery or possession of a controlled substance and criminal use of a communications device withdrawn at the preliminary before Magisterial District Judge Regina Armitage, according to court records.

Misdemeanor drug charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia were waived onto Bucks County Common Pleas Court.

The Bucks County Courier Times reported Mee worked as a Bensalem Township police officer for 13 years before leaving in 2019 for โ€œpersonal reasons.โ€

Detectives said in court papers that Mee agreed to purchase $500 worth of methamphetamine from a person who he believed to be a drug dealer at the Walmart in Hilltown Township.

Mee went to buy the quarter pound of meth and exchanged money for it, authorities said.

Mee was then arrested by county detectives after the sale took place, authorities said.

Court papers stated the arrest was part of an ongoing investigation.

Mee was previously held on 10% of $500,000 cash, but was released after bail was changed to nonmonetary, per court records.

Mee is represented by Furlong attorney Daniel Jason Schatz.
