Bucks County has trails for beer, wine, ice cream, covered bridges, and history. And now there’s one focusing on sweet spots.

On Monday, tourism agency Visit Bucks County rolled out the Sweet Spots Trail that includes more than 30 bakeries, ice cream parlors, cafés, and candy stores from the lower end to the Lehigh Valley border.

Using a mobile trail passport, locals and visitors who check-in at five or more spots can received a free Bucky plush stuffed animal deer, which has been adopted as Visit Bucks County’s mascot.

“Whether it’s families heading to Sesame Place or Shady Brook Farm or couples booking a romantic bed and breakfast weekend, tourists are seeking unique experiences when making travel decisions,” said Paul Bencivengo, president of Visit Bucks County. “We are thrilled to work with so many creative culinary businesses in Bucks County and market the Sweets Spots Trail.”

The Sweet Spots Trail includes local favorites Angelina’s Bake Shop in Bristol Borough, Calm Waters Coffee Roasters in Bristol Borough, Johnson Hall Coffee House in Hulmeville Borough, and The Happy Mixer Gluten Free Bakery in Middletown Township.

To roll out the Sweet Spots Trail, Visit Bucks County set up a stand at Jefferson Station in Center City in Philadelphia and handed out more than 4,000 locally-sourced cookies, brownies, doughnuts, and chocolate. The setup also included a photo station with scenes of Bucks County.
