A posting online led to increased an increased police presence at Pennsbury High School in Falls Township Tuesday.
The “rumor” was posted Monday and was concerning enough that police and district security became involved, according to a letter to parents.

The district said in their letter that additional police were planning to be stationed at the school following the “potential threat” posted online.
“Yesterday after school, a rumor was shared online about a potential threat to PHS. When the administration received word of this rumor late last evening, they followed the standard procedure of notifying school security and the local police so that we could ensure the safety and welfare of all students and staff,” Director of Pupil Services Elizabeth Aldridge wrote.
