Green, according to Falls Township police, was intoxicated when he was involved a two-vehicle head-on crash at Woolston Drive and Stony Hill Road on Sunday, March 3 around 5:55 p.m. At the time, it was snowing and sticking to the ground.

Officer Ronald MacPherson wrote in court papers that both the Buick Encore and Toyota C-HR involved suffered “severe front-end damage.”

Hollis was the driver of the Encore and had a “strong odor” of alcoholic beverage coming from him and his eyes were glassy and bloodshot. With slurred speech, he said had a couple drinks at a friend’s place, police said.

In an ambulance, Hollis told medics and an officer that he had three drinks, police said.

Due to the snowy weather and crash-related injuries, Hollis was unable to take a field sobriety test, police said.

Hollis was unable to provide consent for a blood draw when he lost consciousness at St. Mary Medical Center in Middletown, police said, adding they requested blood be preserved.

The driver of the C-HR was also transported to St. Mary Medical Center for treatment. He suffered a right vertebral artery dissection and a left supraclavicular hematoma along with rib, spine, wrist, and elbow injuries, police said.

MacPherson wrote in court papers that Hollis was suspected to have crossed into oncoming traffic.

The officer noted that the C-HR driver continues to undergo treatment due to the crash.

Using a search warrant, MacPherson learned that blood from Hollis taken the night of the crash showed a blood alcohol concentration of .233.
