Two Friday power outages were caused by downed trees.
After the area missed widespread outages during Thursday evening’s strong storms, a number of customers in Falls Township’s Levittown section and Bristol Borough and Bristol Township were impacted during the daylight hours on Friday.

On Friday morning, a downed tree caused problems that knocked out power for about 700 residents in Falls Township’s Levittown section.
By early afternoon, about 1,100 customers were in the dark in Bristol Borough and a small portion of Bristol Township. The outage was also caused by a downed tree.
PECO spokesman Greg Smore told LevittownNow.com the majority of customers in both outages had service restored within about two hours.

The outage came on a hot and humid Friday in Lower Bucks County.
Smore said he was unable to connect the outages to the prior evening’s storms based on the information he had.
