Bicyclist, Motorcyclist Remain In Hospital Following New Falls Road Crash

A motorcyclist and bicyclist who collided along New Falls Road Wednesday evening both remain hospitalized as of Thursday.

Police said the bicyclist was flown by helicopter to Thomas Jefferson University’s trauma center in Philadelphia and was being treated for “critical injuries” as of Thursday morning, while the motorcyclist was taken to St. Mary Medical Center in Middletown for their injuries.

The motorcycle and bicycle collided in the 8500 block of New Falls Road in Levittown around 6:15 p.m. Police said the motorcycle was traveling in the westbound lanes when it struck the female bicyclist who was using the shoulder.

The wreck spread debris all over New Falls Road. The bicycle was on one side of the road and the motorcycle was on the the other.

Police conducted an extensive onsite investigation that closed New Falls Road between Hood Boulevard and Parson Place into Wednesday night.
