Middletown police and Bucks County detectives arrested a man they allege was willing to sell one pound of methamphetamine on Tuesday.
Investigators worked with an informant to set up a planned purchased of meth from Hanif Sharif, 28, of Norristown, Montgomery County, court papers stated.

With police watching from a distance, Sharif pulled into the parking lot of the Retro Fitness on New Falls Road in Levittown under the impression he was about to make a sale. Instead of a drug buyer, he was approached by unformed officer. He was alone in the vehicle and told law enforcement a gun was on the floor of the vehicle, police said.
In court documents, police wrote that they recovered a loaded Glock handgun, a digital scale, $475 cash, and about a pound of meth in a plastic container.
Sharif was charged with manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver; conspiracy; possession of a controlled substance; and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned by on-call District Judge Jan Vislosky and sent to county prison on 10 percent of $850,000.
