Authorities were working to determine if the incident that left a 3-year-old boy dead Monday evening was a crime or an accident.

Bucks County District Attorney Matt Weintraub said the 3-year-old was playing outside with his twin when he was struck in the driveway of a home off Lincoln Highway near Route 1 in the Morrisville section of Falls Township.
A family member of the boy took him to Jefferson Bucks Hospital where he was pronounced dead of a skull fracture, authorities said.
Weintraub said the other 3 year old was unhurt.

A 3-year-old boy appeared to have been struck by a vehicle and killed Monday evening in Falls Township.
Police and the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office said the incident happened shortly after 5 p.m. in the 900 block of Lincoln Highway in the Morrisville section of the township. The location is situated just off Route 1 and near Route 13.
A family member of the boy took him to Jefferson Bucks Hospital, and he was pronounced deceased, Falls Township police Lt. Nelson Whitney said.

No charges related to the crash were listed in court filings as of Tuesday morning.
Authorities did not release further details on the circumstances surrounding the crash, but said more details could be released as the investigation progresses.

The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office crash reconstruction team was called to assist township police.
