
Volunteers and a team from the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission stopped in Tullytown last Thursday to stock Levittown Lake with trout.
The stocking of the lake with trout happened during last week’s nor’easter that brought heavy rain and wind.

The trout dropped in Levittown Lake were raised at the Huntsdale State Fish Hatchery in Cumberland County.
Tout season opens in Adams, Berks, Bucks, Chester, Cumberland, Dauphin, Delaware, Franklin, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lehigh, Montgomery, Northampton, Perry, Philadelphia, Schuylkill, and York counties this Saturday and across every county in the state on Saturday, April 13.
Crews are planning to stock Lake Luxembourg at Core Creek Park in Middletown, Levittown Lake, and the Delaware Canal with additional trout in the coming weeks.

Across the state, the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission plans to stock roughly 3.2 million adult trout in 707 streams and 127 lakes open for public angling. The average trout is 11 inches.
