Neighbors spotted flames shooting from a home in Middletown on Saturday evening.
Firefighters rushed to the scene in the 200 block of Barnsbury Road after numerous calls to 9-1-1 around 7:35 p.m.

The first fire trucks quickly arrived to find flames coming from the front of the home, Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company Chief Frank Farry said.
It took firefighters from the Langhorne-Middletown, Newtown, Parkland, and Yardley-Makefield fire companies about 35 minutes to place the fire under control, Farry said. The Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad also responded.
The fire started in the area of the front door and porch and extended up the dwelling and into the attic areas, responders said.

Fire Marshal Jim McGuire said the cause was listed as of Sunday as undetermined but not suspicious. He said the investigation continued late into Saturday night at the scene.
No one was home at the time of the fire, Farry said. McGuire added that the family was notified and returned home as fire crews were on the scene.

A cat who resided at the home was rescued and resuscitated, Farry said.
