
Levittown-area municipalities are slated to get more than $3 million in PennDOT liquid fuels payments this year.
According to PennDOT data from late January, the state has pledged $500.7 million in payments around the Keystone state this year. Checks were sent to towns this month.

Below is how much local towns will get:
- Bristol Borough – $261,939.18
- Bristol Township – $1,661,063.89
- Falls Township – $968,286.10
- Hulmeville – $27,178.86
- Langhorne – $41,197.75
- Langhorne Manor – $49,895.35
- Penndel – $63,723.09
- Middletown – $251,092.32
- Tullytown – $59,262.72
The liquid fuels payments can only be used for work on certain locally-maintained roadways. The roads must meet certain dimension requirements and safety standards.
In total, the state is spending $11.7 million more than last year on funds that will help municipalities maintain roads and bridges in 2019.

Pennsylvania has the fifth-largest state-maintained roads system in the nation. The network of local roads in the state is even larger and comes in at 72,992 miles, according to PennDOT data.
