A Tullytown Borough man was arrested Tuesday by Bensalem Township police for allegedly trying to meet a juvenile for a sexual encounter.

Bo Branstetter, 30, of Tullytown Borough, was charged early Wednesday morning with 14 charges, including attempted involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, unlawful contact with a minor, attempted statutory sexual assault, and criminal use of a communication facility.

The Bensalem Township Police Department said in a statement that Branstetter began chatting with a person he believed to be a 13-year-old girl on a social media data app starting on June 13. He believed the other user was in eight grade.
“Branstetter advised he wanted to engage in sexual acts and requested that the juvenile send explicit photographs of herself. Branstetter at that time sent several sexually explicit photos and videos of himself,” police said.

Branstetter is accused of continuing the chats for several days and making clear he wanted to engage in sex acts with a girl, police said.
Investigators set up a meeting between Branstetter and the person he believed to be a teenage girl in Bensalem Township.

On Tuesday, “Branstetter drove from his home to meet up with the juvenile but instead was met by Bensalem Township police who took Branstetter into custody without incident,” authorities said.
Branstetter, according to police, was out on bail at the time of his Bucks County arrest for a similar case out of Camden County, New Jersey.
According to a 2024 Camden County Prosecutor’s Office report, Bransetter was accused of using an app to talk with a detective posing as a 14-year-old girl. He allegedly tried to meet the girl for sexual and was arrested by a prosecutor’s office detective at a park.

District Judge Michael Gallagher preliminarily arraigned Branstetter and held him on 10 percent of $5 million bail.
