According to court papers, Bristol Township police responded to Lower Bucks Hospital early on the morning of Thursday, December 6 and took the report of the sexual assault of a young girl. The 8-year-old girl’s mother said Galant admitted during a phone conversation that he “inappropriately touched [the girl] and had to get it off my chest.”

The woman said she woke her young daughter after the conversation with Galant and asked if she was touched by the 28 year old. The girl told her mother that she was afraid to tell anyone, police said.

While speaking with investigators, the girl’s mother said the incident could have happened in August of last year at a residence on Beatty Drive in the Morrsiville section of Falls Township, police said, adding Falls Township investigators then became involved.

The day after the incident was reported to law enforcement, Galant reportedly texted the girl’s mother.

“I know I can’t fix this. Honestly, I don’t know what came over me. I messed with hallucinogens and f**ked up big time. I tried to kill myself for it. Now going to rehab. Word cannot express how sorry I am,” he wrote in the text message, police said.

During a session with a forensic interviewer, the girl recalled two incidents at the Beatty Drive residence where Galant allegedly had sexual contact with her. One time he inappropriately touched the girl and the other involved him raping her, according to court papers.

Despite the girl telling Galant “no” during the rape, he continued and asked the girl not to “tell anybody what I’m doing right now,” police said.

In a press release, Falls Township police said the Wednesday arrest came after a “lengthy investigation.”

According to court dockets, Galant was cited for public drunkenness in Bensalem relating to a December incident.
