Car Crashes Through Fence, Hits House

A driver suffered a serious head injury after his car crashed into a home in Bristol Township’s Levittown section late Wednesday morning.

The crash happened when the car smashed through a wooden fence along Mill Creek Parkway near Haines Road, struck the metal deck to an above-ground pool, and ended up hitting the rear of a home in the 300 block of Oaktree Drive around 11:10 a.m., according to reports from the scene.

Police said the the driver was traveling on Haines Road toward Mill Creek Parkway and kept heading through the intersection and eventually into the property.

Police said the driver was transported to the hospital for treatment of his serious injury.

The home was damaged but remained habitable, Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito said.

No one inside the home was hurt, police said.

Crews from the Levittown No.2 and Edgely fire companies responded along with the Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad.
