On Friday evening starting at 5 p.m., the borough’s central business district will open for visitors and neighbors alike. The Bristol Borough: Raising the Bar-backed tree lighting festivities will commence at 6:30 p.m. with holiday carols sung by performers from the Bristol Riverside Theatre show “American Songbook.” When the tree lighting festivities wind down around 7:30 p.m. Friday evening, Santa will greet kids inside the Centre For The Arts on Mill Street.
The holiday festivities continue on Saturday with the annualย Bristol Borough Christmas Parade. The parade marches off at 1 p.m. from the top of Farragut Avenue, down Pond Street, and finally making its way to Mill Street.
The parade’s rain date is Sunday.
