UPDATED: Philadelphia Motorcyclist Deceased After Veterans Highway Crash

UPDATED: 8:37 p.m., Tuesday: 

The motorcyclist who was killed in a Tuesday afternoon crash was a 38-year-old Philadelphia man, police said.

The motorcyclist was found to be unresponsive at the scene and rushed by medics to a local hospital. It was at the hospital that he was pronounced deceased, police said.

The driver of the van was a 54-year-old Philadelphia man. He was not hurt.

Police said the driver of the van is cooperating with their investigation.

The crash was reported at 3:38 p.m. on Veterans Highway between Rockview Drive and the Franklin D. Roosevelt Middle School.

The 2006 Kawasaki Vulcan motorcycle collided with the white 2014 Ford E-150 van. Both vehicles were traveling southbound when the motorcycle struck the rear of the van as it attempted to make a turn, police said.

A motorcyclist died after a crash on Veterans Highway (Route 413) in Bristol Township Tuesday afternoon.

The man was pronounced dead at a local hospital after the wreck that happened on Veterans Highway between Rockview Drive and the Franklin D. Roosevelt Middle School around 3:40 p.m.

The motorcycle appeared to skid about 100 feet on the road surface and came to rest along a white work van.

A witness said bystanders aided the motorcyclist following the crash.
