A man remains hospitalized after being shot by police in Bristol Township Saturday night.
The man, whose name is not being released at this time by the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office, was shot by officers outside a home on Grand Pine Road in Levittown after he reportedly refused to drop a weapon, authorities said.

As of Monday, the man remained hospitalized, said Larry King, spokesperson for the district attorney’s office. A source told LevittownNow.com the man was hit several times and had numerous gunshot injuries.
King said the man’s name was not being released because a criminal investigation remains ongoing.

Township officers were called to the home for an unreleased incident and encountered the man with a firearm. Officers ordered him to drop the gun before opening fire, authorities said.

No other injuries were reported.
Bucks County Detectives were handling the investigation. King said officer-involved shootings are investigated by the county as procedure. He said the district attorney will determine whether use of deadly force was justified.
