Police Investigate Death At Wooded Property In Croydon

UPDATE: Woman Died After Tree Fell On Her 

Authorities were deep in a large wooded lot in Bristol Township’s Croydon section Tuesday evening as they investigated the death of a woman.

The body of the woman was discovered in the wooded lot next to the AMF Bristol Pike Lanes on Bristol Pike around 6:40 p.m.

Croydon Fire Company Chief Tom Tryon said firefighters from his station, Edgely, and Newportville fire companies were providing support to police, who were about 400 yards in to the swampy property.

Firefighters had set up lighting facing the woods from the parking lot of the bowling alley and police cars were stationed on the opposite side of the property along Dixon Avenue.

A police spokesperson was not immediately available to release information on the death investigation.
