During a bench trial this week, a Bristol Township man struck a deal with prosecutors on charges that he provided false information while making gun purchases.

Noah Dratfield, 33, pleaded guilty as part of the agreement Wednesday afternoon to materially falsifying a document and was sentenced by Bucks County Judge Wallace Bateman to three to six years in state prison with a following three years on probation, Deputy District Attorney Antonetta Stancu said.

“The outcome of this case was absolutely the intelligent thing to do for Noah as a conviction would have placed him in a state prison for over a decade,” Dratfield’s attorney Lou Busico said.

Dratfield, according to court papers, made untrue statements about himself while filing paperwork to purchase firearms. The 33-year-old applied to buy weapons at stores in Upper Southampton and Tullytown.

Police said last year that Dratfield told investigators he purchased multiple weapons that he kept in his home in Levittown. However, FBI special agents and state investigators searched the Junewood Drive home last year and did not recover some of the guns Dratfield allegedly purchased.

Sources told LevittownNow.com last fall that Dratfield was eyed by federal authorities based in Philadelphia and northern New Jersey for his gun purchases. In court papers at the time, prosecutors said there was suspicion that Dratfield purchased or used the proceeds of the weapons “not to further street crimes but to support domestic and/or international terror groups.”

However, Dratfield has denied any connection to terrorism.

“Noah has not been is not now nor ever will be a terrorist. He denounces violence in all its forms. He is a man of faith and peace,” Busico said.

Stancu declined to comment this week on the previous allegations of ties to terror groups.

Due to the felony conviction, Dratfield will not be able to possess a firearm in the future.
