UPDATE: According to court records, the defendant had charges, including attempt to lure a child into motor vehicle and lure child into motor vehicle, withdrawn. He was approved by Bucks County Judge Jeffrey Trauger to enter the first-time-offender Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program on misdemeanor disorderly conduct charges in May 2019. If completed sucuessfully, the charges will be expunged from his record.
A Langhorne man was arrested late last week on charges he attempted to lure two girls in Lower Makefield.

A 51-year-old man was arraigned last Friday night before on-call District Judge Jan Vislosky on charges of attempt to lure a child into motor vehicle and lure child into motor vehicle. He also faces two counts each of harassment and disorderly conduct.
According to police, investigators were alerted last Tuesday to an incident in the Lower Makefield Shopping Center where two 12-year-old girls had been approached by a man in a white vehicle. He had asked the girls to come to his vehicle and help him with his cell phone. The girls turned down the man and left the area.
Not too long after, a similar vehicle was spotted near one of the girls’ homes and authorities were called, police said.

In what police called an “exhaustive investigation,” detectives searched the area and viewed surveillance video to track down details. They spotted the white vehicle and the male in the video.
Eventually, the man was determined to be the suspect involved, police said.

The man was released from the Bucks County Correctional Facility Saturday on 10 percent of $250,000 bail.
