A Bucks County jury found a Bensalem man guilty of plowing his pickup truck into his ex-wife’s Falls Township home.
Charles Joseph Freitag, 57, was convicted by the jury of aggravated assault, criminal mischief, and reckless endangerment during a two-day trial earlier this month, according to court records. Sentencing was deferred until late August so a pre-sentence investigation can be conducted.
Freitag rammed his black Ford Ranger pickup into the front of his ex-wife’s home on Martha Circle in the Fallsington section and then injured himself before resisting officers attempting to take him in to custody last September, according to police.
Freitag’s ex-wife and another person were in the house but were unhurt.

The former couple had been separated for two years and the divorce was finalized a few weeks before the incident, Freitag’s ex-wife told police.
Freitag needed surgery due to his injuries.

After the jury’s decision came back, Bucks County Judge Diane Gibbons revoked Freitag’s bail and he was sent to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.
